How we work

Three phases, one steady path

Mediation is usually faster, calmer and more private than going to court, and it often costs a fraction of litigation. Every case follows the same three phases.

Phase 1

Screen and prepare

  • The Clarity Call: a free orientation and fit check
  • Confidential intake with each person, one at a time
  • Safety screening for domestic violence, coercive control and capacity
  • A Clarity Profile that organizes what needs to be decided
Phase 2

Resolve

  • A foundation session to set ground rules and the agenda
  • Working sessions toward a clear agreement
  • Private caucus when it helps with safety or a stuck point
  • A review session to confirm every term
Phase 3

Document and file

  • Angela drafts the Memorandum of Understanding and you both review it
  • Hand-off to an attorney for review and filing, or a self-represented path
  • Filing handled by counsel or by the parties directly
  • Case closed and working records deleted
Who we serve

Families in every shape

Where children are involved, everything is anchored in one standard: their best interests. Always.

Where children are not involved, the standard is just as clear: a fair, organized and private resolution that lets both people move forward with dignity.

  • Divorcing spouses
  • Separating domestic partners
  • Never-married parents
  • High-conflict families
  • Military families
  • Parents of children with special needs
  • Families separating a business alongside a household

Family & Divorce Mediator

Angela is a Northwestern University trained non-attorney mediator with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Illinois State University. Her career has always centered on one thing: carefully assessing people in vulnerable situations and helping them find the right path forward.

She brings formal training, deep fluency in the AAML Child-Centered Residential Guidelines, and something that cannot be credentialed: the temperament to sit with two people in pain and guide them toward something better. Not for themselves. For their kids and their future.
